How much does it cost to participate?
Registration for the 5K is $35.00, the 1 Mile Gobble Wobble is $25.00, and the Baby Bobble is $20.00, with prices increasing an additional $5 November 1st and November ?. Your registration fee includes: race t-shirt, a fun and fast course design, professional race timing, wonderful volunteer support, snacks and beverages, great music, and more!
Little Hands Virginia is dedicated to serving economically disadvantaged families in our community. We are offering Income Based Rates for this event to ensure that all who want to can attend. Please contact us to learn more.
Can I create a team for my family, friends, or business?
Yes, you can create a team! First, create your account by filling out the registration form. Once registered, you'll be directed to the next page, where you can join an existing team or create your own.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we encourage you to check out our team fundraising opportunities to make an even bigger impact! Your race registration covers the cost of the event; additional donations go towards our goal of raising $X, which will directly support Little Hands Virginia's mission of serving families in our community with children ages 0-3.
Can my business become a sponsor?
Yes, we are actively accepting sponsors for the 2026 Big Turkey Trot! We have a variety of sponsor levels and opportunities. Please visit our sponsor page to learn more.
Where do I pick up my race packet?
Packet pickup will be at the Little Hands office, 3707 Saunders Ave. Richmond, VA. 23227, on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Friends and family may pick up packets on behalf of others.
Is the course difficult?
When we say we're Richmond's most family-friendly turkey trot, we mean it! The 5K loop is fun and flat. This is a great course for beginners or walkers, and if you're a seasoned runner, it's a perfect chance to go for a PR!
Can I run with a stroller?
Yes, strollers are allowed on the 5K and 1 Mile Courses. Babies do not need to be registered for these courses. The Turkey Trot is a flat course, making it stroller accessible. For the Baby Bobble, we require that all participants crawl.
Is the race dog-friendly?
No. Please leave all pets at home for their safety and the safety of all participants.
