The Big Turkey Trot is Little Hands Virginia's new family friendly, community-wide event to raise support for the organization.
Come out for the first annual event on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025. Gather friends, family and colleagues for the 5K Turkey Trot, 1 mile "Gobble Wobble," or the "Babby Bobble" (baby crawling race).
Starting and ending at St. Joseph's Villa, enjoy a festive atmosphere, festival before and after the event, costumes, and a timed race on a fun, flat course.
All events are chipped and timed. The course will be measured and USATF certified. Strollers are welcome. Please leave dogs at home. There will be starting corrals based on anticipated finish time.

5K waves will begin at 8:30 am on Thanksgiving Day. Come dressed in fun Thanksgiving costumes or get some Thanksgiving swag at the event!

40 Foot Baby Bobble

Get ready for the cutest race in town! All babies are welcome in the 40 Foot Baby Bobble. The fun starts at 9:45 am! You definitely don't want to miss this! Registration is for the child; adults do not need to register.
